The Role KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (What are the main responsibilities and duties of the role, against which performance will be measured) Overall Welfare Duties: • Overall responsibility in ensuring welfare activities for employees are effectively managed and implemented • Handle employee complaints, counseling and grievance • Identify and address issues, concerns, root cause of an employee and any matter that needs escalation to the Management • Ensure necessary assistance and care is given to employee who has undergone medical treatment and residing at our accommodations and coordinate with DMC on the same • Maintain welfare related MIS/Reports/Updates Accommodation Visits • Visit all HRS employee accommodations/camps to conduct welfare related activities • Prepare a monthly visit schedule • Arrange to follow up with the new arrivals • Coordinate with the accommodation and time keepers to meet with employees. • Meet with the absentees to understand and motivate to report to work. • Prepare follow up programs on the needs analysis Training and Induction: • Deliver employee welfare related trainings • Follow up with the schedule of new arrivals and organize induction within 48 hours of arrival • Maintain a log of observation during induction • Keep the recruitment team and other support departments informed of these observations • Maintain attendance record and separation reasons of new arrivals • Engage idle employees through various activities including training Disciplinary Cases and Separations • Provide support to Operations team in handling late leave return cases and disciplinary cases • Initiate disciplinary actions, including recommendations of warning, suspension or termination • Handle resignation cases to understand the reason and possibility of retaining a separating employee • Counsel the resigned employees to withdraw resignation • Follow up with medical cases in the early repatriation Other Responsibilities • Identify talents and update for internal talent pool • Organize at least 1 employee engagement program per month Requirements • MSW/ MA Sociology • Prior experience in welfare will be preferable • Training multicultural group Job-specific Skills, Requirements: • Language Proficiency (mandatory): English (Read, Write, Speak), Hindi and other local languages will be an added advantage • IT Proficiency: MS Office (Word, Excel) • Valid UAE driving license About the company The Dulsco story began in 1935 when Mohammed Khan Abdulla Mirza Abdulla, the father of the present Chairman of Dulsco, Abdul Aziz Mohammed Khan Abdulla, appointed some able-bodied men to row their dhows through the Dubai Creek to a British India Steam Navigation Company owned ship at anchor in the Arabian Gulf, and bring ashore its cargo of foodstuff and clothing.
