Principal Building Code Reviewer/ICC Western Expat

The Role Principal Objective Provide technical support to Engineering Department in the review of building codes for development and execution of various projects related to communities and infrastructure projects. To provide necessary technical expertise including evaluations of specific code topics as applied to a project, or special studies of particular building components, characteristics or applications. Certifications must be maintained per ICC requirements. ICC Combination Inspector (Commercial and Residential) certification preferred. 3. TECHNICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR SUPPORT – X 12 Great rates w/ per diem & mob/demob Primary Responsibilities of the instructor will be to provide assistance to the BNPP Prime Contractor, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and its sub-contractors/subsidiaries KEPCO plant Service and Engineering Co Ltd (KPS) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co Ltd (KHNP) or other BNPP subcontractors aligning their training programs to Nawah standards as required by the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulations (FANR) regulations and regulatory guides as well as Nawah commitments to FANR in the BNPP Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) 3) Instructor will assist with the training activities required for the safe manufacturing and operations of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 4) Instructor shall be experienced Nuclear Instructors with a minimum of three (3) years documented performance as instructors using formal, systematic training program development systems like the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or Instructional system Design(ISD) and have three (3) years of additional documented work experience in respective area of expertise (I&C, Radiation protection, Chemistry mechanical or Electrical). 5) Instructors holding Bachelors’ Degrees in an Engineering or Scientific discipline are desired. 6) INPO Instructor Certification or equivalent is highly desirable. 7) Instructor shall have strong Technical/Nuclear English language proficiency, Excellent MS Office skills (power Point, Word and Excel) previous work experience in the UAE or Korea is preferred. Instructor will be working in a high-pressure dynamic, multinational, multicultural work environment with aggressive deadlines. 8) Instructor shall continuously demonstrate the attitudes of a nuclear professional, including commitment to nuclear, radiation, industrial and environmental safety, and human performance desired behaviors/error reduction tools. 9) Training activities will be conducted at Barakah Site and South Korea or other locations as required by the Nawah. As a result, Instructors will be required to obtain security clearance and site access at BNPP and possibly Korea. Instructors required to adhere to Nawah procedures regarding controlled information. 10) Vendor shall provide Instructor CVs with the proposal for review and acceptance by Nawah. 11) Nawah will initially evaluate instructors via an Instructor Quality Review Board (QRB). Nawah shall have the right to request replacement of an instructor by the vendor if said instructor fails to meet Nawah Standards. 12) Require the following number and discipline of Instructors: 13) Twelve (12) Technical Training instructors for the period of 12 months with a minimum of three a. I&C Maintenance/ Engineering - 4 b. Radiation Protection - 2 c. Chemistry - 2 d. Mechanical Maintenance - 2 e. Electrical Maintenance - 2 14) At a minimum, instructors shall be capable of providing the following services: a. Analysis Activities/Objective Development b. Development of Job Performance Measures c. Review and Correction of Training Materials, including examinations d. Development of Training Materials e.
